I’ve discussed how to play a standard bunker shot before, but I have never discussed how to play different shots from the bunker. Here’s a quick refresher on a standard bunker shot.

Right now we’re getting into the fall. Normally, the fall means perfect temperature and some windy days. To play in the wind you need to know how to correctly flight the ball low.

I haven’t talked about bunker shots in a while so this month let’s approach getting out of the bunker. There are two types of bunker shots: chunk and run, and spinner. The chunk and run bunker shot is made by hitting a few inches behind the ball, which takes spin off the ball and lets it release.

Golf, as you know, is a game that you can play all your life. However, as you get older you lose distance and strength. There are a few suggestions that I will make to help you overcome “Father Time.”

There are two things you must do to be a great putter. You must start the ball on the line you have chosen and you must have correct speed. In this article I’ll address starting the ball on line.

A common flaw I see many amateurs make is how hard they swing. Golf, for the most part, is a game of precision.

Most of the time when I play with amateurs it never fails that most of them think they hit their clubs farther than they really do. The only distance that matters with your clubs is your carry distance – how far does the ball fly with that club, not how far it went after hitting land.
